Position Summary
Vector Media is seeking a motivated, full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in the New York City area. Reporting directly to the EVP, Finance, this is a newly created role designed to support the strategic goals of our growing company. The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to create data driven analytics that assist in identifying ways to drive organizational change in the context of revenue and other decision-making processes. Interfacing with various stakeholders of the Company, this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Range Details: $85,000 - $95,000.
The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.

What You’ll Bring:
  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • 3-5+ years of financial analysis experience. Media experience is a plus.
  • Experience using BI tools. Tableau experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and ERP systems. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a time sensitive, accurate environment.
  • A consistent track record demonstrating analytical skills across core workstreams.

What You’ll Do:
  • Create and maintain models to aid in revenue decision-making processes, including rate analysis, pacing reports and forecasts.
  • Partner with stakeholders in Sales and Operations to help drive margin expansion through rate recommendations and occupancy reporting.
  • Analyze current trends in key performance indicators and communicate causes of unexpected variances.
  • Assess and present areas of risks and opportunities to management.
  • Design and administer Tableau reporting. Help visually tell a story to captivate the intended audience with clear, user-friendly dashboards.
  • Maintain and enhance monthly financial reporting and ensure the timely completion of all deliverables. 
  • Work closely with the accounting department, as well as other departments, to help identify and correct organizational inefficiencies.
  • Prepare other ad hoc financial analysis related to the current business or related to new projects.
  • Use current systems and data to evaluate trends and recommend areas of focus based on data driven metrics to management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
